St. John Fisher

$25.00

The lives of St. John Fisher (1469-1535) and St. Thomas More (1478-1535) were entwined together and fittingly, the two were canonized together and share a feast day, June 22. Both long held favor, even friendship, with King Henry VIII who would eventually order their executions. More, a statesman, and Fisher, a priest and bishop, took a heroic stand for religious freedom against encroaching governmental power which cost each of them their lives.

All of my portraits of saints original drawings were created with black Prismacolor pencils. This media choice was to insure a maximum contrast of black and white rather than the grey of graphite. The benefit is that all of my saint prints are the exact same size and contrast as the original drawing.
