St. Thomas More

$25.00

The lives of St. Thomas More (1478-1535) and St. John Fisher (1469-1535) were entwined together and fittingly, the two were canonized at the same time and share the feast day, June 22. Both long held favor, even friendship, with King Henry VIII of England, who would eventually order their executions. More, a statesman, and Fisher, a priest and bishop, took a heroic stand for religious freedom against encroaching governmental power which cost each of them their lives. St. Thomas more is the patron saint of adopted children lawyers, civil servants, politicians, and difficult marriages.

All of my portraits of saints original drawings were created with black Prismacolor pencils. This media choice was to insure a maximum contrast of black and white rather than the grey of graphite. The benefit is that all of my saint prints are the exact same size and contrast as the original drawing.
